Position: Courtesy Bus Driver / Food Prep / Shop Hand

Location: Coral Bay, Western Australia

Starting: March 2026

Ending: Open contract

Bus Driver: We’re looking for a LR licensed driver with current PTD for our courtesy bus, your main role will be to shuttle our customers between the jetty and our shop in the Coral Bay arcade for various trips throughout the day. The role will also include routine cleaning and refuelling of the vehicles. Our buses include a manual transmission 25 seat Mitsubishi Rosa and an automatic transmission 12 seat Toyota Commuter.

In addition to driving the bus:

Food Prep: Using our onsite kitchenette, in a safe and hygienic manner you’ll prepare salads for our boat tours, taking special care to cater for any dietary requirements of our guest. You will also be responsible for manage food stocks, including creating ordering lists.

Shop Hand: Help travellers get the most out of their time in Coral Bay! To help bolster your hours you will also be scheduled in our busy tour booking / souvenir shop 1-2 days a week where you’ll be helping travellers book the best tours to suit their needs. Experience in retail operations including LightSpeed Retail, and Rezdy are highly beneficial but full training is provided.

Job Details:

First Trip: Around 7:30AM
Last Trip: As late as 6:00PM – 7:30PM (seasonally)
Typical Trip Times: 7:30AM, 8:45AM, 9:45AM, 1:00PM, 2:00PM, and occasionally 3:30PM and/or Sunset pick up.
Routine cleaning includes: Daily sweeping and cleaning of interior, weekly exterior wash of each vehicle regardless of use.
Active work: varies but 10-15 hours per week approximately
Number of days required: 5-6 days per week (including Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon)
Food prep time: 1-2 hours approx
Shop hours: 8-10 hours per day

Requirements:

Valid Australian LR license
Current PTD

Pay: Fixed rate of $25 per trip, average trip time is 5-15 minutes, up to 6 trips per day, plus $31.19 hourly rate for cleaning and refuelling busses, shop hours, and food prep. Plus bonus free or heavily discounted tours and discounted stock within the company.
